Hey y’all, my name is Laura!

My journey in photography started with a pink point-and-shoot camera, just like so many of us had in the early 2000’s. I was absolutely obsessed with arranging impromptu photoshoots with my friends and spending hours editing those on PicTime. I then learned film photography and the darkroom process in high school. It was during these moments that I truly fell in love with the art of photography! At first, I was mainly capturing milestones and big moments of my close friends and family. There came a point where I was looking for a creative outlet and photography lent itself to that! I am so glad I took that leap because I love all of the couples I get to work with! 

My husband and I are high school sweethearts who didn't meet till our senior year of school! We both went to Iowa State and are huge Cyclone fans! This past spring our family grew to 3 with our little girl, Nora. We also have a German shepherd named Sylvie who is very sad to not be the only child anymore! We love long road trips and have a goal to visit all the national parks! The next one on our list is Big Bend! I love trying out local spots, especially coffee shops and Mexican restaurants!

My style is earthy, natural, and warm, with a focus on the beauty of the present moment. I believe that a great photo should tell a story, and I take pride in being able to capture those small, organic moments that make life so special. my approach is always relaxed and fun. I want my clients to feel comfortable in front of the camera and to enjoy the experience of being photographed. My aim is to create timeless photos that will be cherished for generations to come.

I will be your biggest hype gal and advocate on your big day! I know the amount of planning, time, and scheduling it takes to put on such a great wedding. I will be there to help with any hic-ups, keep all the groomsmen in line, and us on schedule!

I love to capture each couple's unique authentic selves! I think couples are the most fun because we get to incorporate some of your favorite things into a session and no one is up past their bedtime and super grumpy! When you are with your person a lot of times there is that special smile or look that each one of us has, and I aim to capture that love and joy!
